The List has been a lifeline for MPN patients worldwide for more than four years. In that time well over 50,000 patients have accessed the List to find a hematologist. If you are fortunate enough to have an excellent MPN doctor, please consider sharing her or him with the MPN community. This is a rare disease and even more rare are physicians experienced in treating it. You can recommend your doctor here.

After looking over the list above, there definitely is a big need for more MPN Specialists in the USA….and throughout the world too.
PV and MPN people who do not live near these Drs. locations are SOL!
Agreed. I live in Western North Carolina where there are no MPN specialists available between Charlotte and Atlanta.. The good news though is I have a great doctor, a local General Practitioner who listens, studies, consults with specialists on my behalf, and is a true health partner. I think most of us outside of major metro areas are in the same boat. MPNs are a rare disease and a hematologist outside of research university settings and big cities aren’t likely to be able to pay off their student loans taking care of us> So take heart, dig in and learn, and openly interrogate your prospective doctor. We don’t have that many treatment options after all and a lot of pitfalls, promises and clinical trials to avoid. Keep in touch with the MPN community. Ypu can tap into a lot of experience and love
Dr. Glick (listed in Deerfield Beach) is now in the Naples/Bonita Springs area at Florida Cancer Specialists
My favorite hematologist is Dr. Andrew Whitely, at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Thanks Barbara. I will send your Commnet along to Ellen but she really does need the minimum information in the form at https://mpnforum.com/good-doc/ in order to list Dr. Whitely. Plus you can let her know on that form whether or not you want patients to contact you about your recommendation.
Looking for a doctor in Oklahoma where I reside but don’t see anyone.. Don’t have alot of money or great medical coverage. Clueless on what to do now??
Hi, Tosha…You’re right. There are several listed in Texas and if you’re near one of those cities you might click on the doc and get in touch with the referrer. You can also try the MPN Research Foundation, http://www.mpnresearchfoundation.org. And by all means post to the FB groups… PV, MF, Interferon and MPNforum all have FB pages with several thousand patients participating. I’ll post as well and let you know if we can find a well recommended OK hematologist.
Hello, is there an MPN doctor here in the Philippines?
Dr. Nguyen has moved from MI to New Jersey to head up Jansen.
