There are only five more days to think about it.
First, a giant thank you to the 103 stalwart friends of MPNforum who have already contributed to the 2016 Small Donation Program with contributions ranging from $5 to a maximum of $100. As a result of their generosity we have met most if not all of our ASH travel expenses. But not enough for basic operating costs.
Because we operate on such a small budget with no salaries
we can get by on what Ian Sweet called “gasoline fumes.” But even fumes require a gallon or two of regular to keep us on the road.
For us to remain fully independent of corporate funding through advertising or grants we need to fuel our patient/caregiver cooperative model. So if you’re reading MPNforum it has to be worth at least five bucks…or seriously, why are you wasting your time?

And that’s what leads to the headline question. You’ve seen some of the numbers. Over 540,000 visitors to our pages. 12,000 readers of an average issue. So far those 103 donors are carrying the load for all of us.
Don’t you belong on that list? All it takes is one click, two minutes and the price of a Starbucks coffee or two.
So please do what you can within the next five days. Do not dig deep. Whatever works easily for you and your budget… so long as it’s under $100. We can fund the expanded MPNforum within the small donation program. But that means you taking a few minutes to click on the DONATE button.

Hi, Jo… I started to reply and the copy just flew off the computer so at the risk of repeating: 19% of donations to the Forum are from non-US sources according to a PayPal report. Since donations can be made through PayPal or Visa/MC I imagine there’s an automatic currency adjustment. In any case if it doesn’t work, the donation will be rejected at once and you will lose no funds. Do let us know. And thank you!
