.The story, “On the pathway…” opens in Manchuria at the beginning of the last Century and extends to this  morning in the Boston area.  This is the history of a novel idea a young scientist discovered when his work in leukemia branches into a study of the myeloproliferative neoplasms.  If successful, his work — focused on polycythemia vera –  opens a whole new approach to the control of MPN disease.
